Parkway Capital Portfolio Company GTA Containers Obtains HubZone Certification

Parkway Capital (“Parkway”) is pleased to announce that its portfolio company, GTA Containers (“GTA”), has been certified as a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) small business concern by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). This certification recognizes GTA’s commitment to fostering economic development and employment growth in historically underutilized business zones.

Founded in 1988 and headquartered in South Bend, IN, GTA is a manufacturer of flexible containers and secondary containment systems, fluid storage and transfer solutions, and vehicle covers, liners and doors for the U.S. military and commercial applications. Igor Popov, CEO of GTA Containers, said: “The HUBZone certification reinforces GTA’s commitment to our local community and positions us for accelerated growth, expanded service offerings, new job creation and further contributions to the economic development of South Bend”.

Andrew John, Partner of Parkway, said: “Obtaining HUBZone Certification is a tremendous accomplishment and reflects GTA’s commitment to the South Bend business community. We are particularly pleased given that our fund is licensed by the SBA as a Small Business Investment Company (SBIC), and we appreciate the commitment to historically underutilized areas. We are extremely proud of the GTA team and delighted with their continued success.”
